By: Erin Moore for Body1Model and actress Jeanne Carmen died Thursday of lymphoma at her home in Orange Country, Calif. She was 77. Carmen was a self-described “little country girl” who picked cotton with her family in Arkansas before running away to New York at age 13. Appearing in a Broadway burlesque show just weeks later, Carmen later moved to Hollywood and went on to become one of the most popular pinup girls of the 1950s.
Carmen was also famous for her alleged affairs and relationships with mobsters as well as celebrities like Frank Sinatra. She is survived by one son, Brandon James, and two daughters, Melinda Belli and Kellee Jade.
