By: Erin Moore for Body1Today is the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in the early morning hours of December 7, 1941. The number of veterans alive is dwindling, but many gather today for memorial and dedication services. Clarence Davis, 84, who was aboard the Navy’s USS Medusa during the attack and is president of the Maryland Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, says “I'm the youngster of the group." He says he is concerned more now than ever about keeping the memories alive, since so many of his comrades have passed away.
About 2,400 people died that day, and many civilians and military people left with scars, both physical and emotional. Don’t ever be afraid to seek help for depression, a common and treatable condition.
