By: Erin Moore for Body1Miss Utah Jill Stevens is bringing awareness to an important health issue: she is pushing to have Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training in every high school in America. Passionate about emergency response, she recently attended a CERT Train the Trainer session in Provo, Utah to get the ball rolling. Stevens is clearly more than a pretty face, but she has even more credits to her name. At 24, she is a sergeant in the Utah National Guard and has served a tour in Afghanistan, she is a registered nurse, and has run several marathons. She will compete in the Miss America pageant in January.
"I want to bring substance to the title," said Stevens.
