  • Lily Allen Reveals Heart Diagnosis

    Lily Allen Reveals Heart Diagnosis

    November 29, 2007

    By: Erin Moore for Body1

British singing sensation Lily Allen has come forward saying she was diagnosed with a heart condition three months ago, and has since been taking better care of herself. She says she has lost weight and credits her new lithe frame to healthier eating habits. Allen stresses that her weight loss was not to become a “skinnie minnie.”

Allen says doctors told her she has a heart murmur, which occurs when the heart makes abnormal sounds. Very common, murmurs can be asymptomatic and innocuous, or they can indicate a more serious problem such as heart disease. Talk to your doctor if you notice any irregularities in your heart, if you feel faint or short of breath, or have any other concerns.
