By: Erin Moore for Body1Today marks the sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. Memorials around the country paid tribute to the two thousand seven hundred and fifty lives taken on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on a field in Pennsylvania.
The world moves on, forever changed by the events of that horrible day. Officials say we have come far with security, though there lingers a fear that we cannot control the recklessness of terrorists. But perhaps most importantly, a new hope and national pride has emerged, even amidst divided views on the situation in Iraq and the Middle East.
Everyone in the United States is affected, whether by the loss of a loved one, the physical and emotional after-affects of rescue or survival, or simply by grief for their country. Regardless of your situation or of how much time has passed, remember there is no shame in seeking help.
