    Diagnosis and Treatment
A physician should be contacted if the fainting: occurs more often than rarely; is accompanied by dizziness; is caused by medication or alcohol; or occurs after a head injury, especially if there is a complete loss of consciousness.

If arrhythmia is suspected, extensive tests may be administered.
